“HUCK IT!” is a dynamic, multi-purpose mountain-biking app. The client, British Cycling, wanted to focus on elevating mountain biking’s profile and attracting a grittier, thrill-seeking demographic. They wanted to build a user-friendly app that would connect and build the mountain biking community; an app where people could share trails and safety tips, keep track of and share their stats, and form riding groups.
The concept is: Britain’s gritty, community-building mountain biking app. “Huck” is a term in mountain biking for riding off a drop; so we created the app name from this edgy play on words. The visual design elements I chose were in the realm of gritty, invigorating, and extreme.
